Hey everyone! My name is Kevin Haughey. I grew up in a small south Jersey suburban town right outside of Philadelphia. A couple years ago I finally took the plunge and moved my family down the shore becoming an official "shlocal". There's an energy from the ocean that draws me in and distracts me from a typical day to day life. It's definitely a healer. In my early teenage years I dreamt one day to work for a Surf brand as a graphic designer or an owner a surf shop. With my eyes glued to the pages of 'Surfer' magazine, I discovered my love for surf photography. Aaron Chang instantly became my idol. His photos contained a plethora of blue shades from the ocean and sky to the silky long exposed waves that created a calming mood. This is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So, after I graduated high school I attended the Delaware College of Art and Design where I majored in Photography. It was a rough start in the real world as an artist so I got a job to pay the bills and before I knew it I was getting caught up in a "normal" 9-5 job. I went back to my true roots as an artist and created what is now 'Barefoot Studios'. I chose the name "Barefoot" because it represents our way of life at the shore, relaxed. (I'm 90 percent barefoot editing and most of my work is usually on the beach. )
What is "Barefoot Studios"?
Barefoot Studios is a creative studio of all mediums. I
currently offer Photography, Videography, and social media management.
Future goals: Obtaining my FCC 107 Drone pilot license
Who is Photog ?
Photog is my mascot. He is a camera wielding bare feet. He represents all photographers who want to grab the perfect shot. Inspired by a quote my college professor once said to me: "If you don't have a zoom lens grab a good pair of running shoes"-Ron Brignac
(in this case I'm barefoot)
